So, you've decided to start bodybuilding? Great choice, you'll be joining millions of others in a quest for a better, healthier body. Before you start though there are a number of things you should consider. No, not where to buy your protein. Building muscle is an intensive activity so the first thing you need to do is get yourself checked over first by your doctor. You're going to be placing a lot of stress on your joints and heart and any weaknesses could be very serious indeed!
Most doctors will be able to perform a basic checkup for less than the cost of a tub of protein. Building muscle needn't be expensive. They will check your blood pressure and your pulse. This is necessary because building muscle will get your heart seriously pumping. They will also listen to your heart for any signs of problems. Your doctor will also weigh you and measure your height and other dimensions. Hopefully you will be given a clean bill of health and you can begin your program of building muscle. If your doctor found something it doesn’t mean you can’t train your body. You will just have to be more careful and consider your options. Talk to your doctor and get his or her advice.



Great, you’ve had a check up and you’re ready to get started. What next? Don’t go and buy that massive tub of protein. Building muscle requires a bit more planning. You’ve got a big decision ahead of you – to gym or not to gym!!
