How to fix a PC

Fixing A PC can be areally tedious task if you're not knowledgeable about PCs. Fixing a computer problem isn't something that can be done without really knowing what you're doing. The computer is made up of two parts - the hardware and the software. The hardware is the exterior case, as well as the interior (CD-ROM drive, NIC (network interface card), memory, processor, CMOS battery, power supply, hard drive, sound card, video card and of course the mother board.

If the hardware goes bad, which you should be able to tell if the PC isn't turning on or maybe it powers on but the operating system doesn't boot up. The problem for it not starting could mean that your computer's power supply is bad, and if your computer doesn't boot into its OS, it could mean two things. Either the hard drive itself is bad or your computer's operating system is corrupt.

The operating system is the software, actually any programs (applications) running on your computer is the software. Your PC not booting into the OS is a very serious problem, and only someone understanding the problem should repair your computer. You can take your computer to a PC repair shop. A PC repair shop would diagnose the problem with relative ease and inform you what they can do to fix the problem.

But I must say if you have your PC restore discs, which used to come with all computer'ss years ago, then you can repair the operating system yourself. Simply insert your PC'ss restore disc into the CDROM drive, power off the PC and turn it back on. The computer will turn on with the restore disc running. All you'll need to do is follow the prompts on your PC monitor and your computer will re-install the operating system for you.

If you do not have your computerss restore disc, then the probability of repairing your OS will be very low. You will definitely need to seek the help of a Computer tech to do the job. More than likely the tech will repair the OS by using an OEM operating system disc. This means that your computer will have its operating system back, but it will lack all of the programs that came with your computer when you had purchased it. That's why the restore disc is so important, because it has all of the programs for your PC, not just the operating system.

So the next time you need your computer repaired, remember if it doesn't boot into the operating system, then most likely your operating system is corrupt. If that's the case and you have the restore discs, follow the steps I gave in the second paragraph above and that should resolve the issue. Now if it's a powering on issue, then consult a computer repair shop. Actually for any hardware issue you should contact a computer repair shop. They have the knowledge and skills to keep your computer working like clockwork.
